Saudi Arabia Premium Residency.
Long-term residency in the Kingdom — without a local sponsor.

The Saudi Premium Residency programme grants long-term residence in the Kingdom without the traditional kafala sponsor. It is open to investors, entrepreneurs, talent and property owners, with multiple tracks covering one-year renewable, special-talent, real-estate and unlimited-permanent variants.

What it is

The full picture, in plain language.

Premium Residency (Iqama Mumayyazah) decouples residence in Saudi Arabia from a Saudi national or company sponsor. It permits the holder to live, work, own businesses and (subject to track) own real estate, and to sponsor family members directly.

Tracks include Permanent Premium Residency (one-off fee, unlimited duration), Renewable (annual fee), Special Talent, Investor, Entrepreneur, Real-Estate Owner and Distinguished Talent — each with defined eligibility, evidence and benefits.

FAQs

Questions we are asked, and the honest answers.

Do I need to live in Saudi full-time?+

No minimum stay is mandated to retain Premium Residency. Tax residence is a separate question with its own physical-presence test.

Can I work for any Saudi employer?+

Yes — Premium Residency allows you to take up employment, own businesses or operate independently, without changing your residence status.

Can I bring my parents?+

Yes. Parents may be sponsored under the principal, subject to standard family-sponsorship rules.

Does Premium Residency lead to citizenship?+

Premium Residency is a long-term residence product, not a naturalisation route. Saudi citizenship remains a separate, highly restrictive process.

Can I own property under Premium Residency?+

Yes, in permitted geographic areas and outside the holy precincts of Mecca and Medina (which have separate ownership rules).

Common mistakes

What we see go wrong — so it doesn't happen to you.

Treating it as a visa, not a status

Premium Residency is closer to a permanent-resident status than a tourist visa; the evidence requirements reflect that.

Incomplete attestation

Foreign documents that are not fully apostilled and embassy-attested cause the file to be returned.

Choosing the wrong track

Permanent vs Renewable vs Talent has very different cost and eligibility profiles; the wrong track wastes time and money.

Forgetting medical & police clearances

Both are mandatory and time-bound; obtaining them in the wrong sequence creates expiry problems.

Explain like I'm 10

The simplest version of the whole thing.

Saudi Premium Residency is a special permission slip from the Kingdom that says 'you can live here, work here, own things here, and bring your family — and you don't need a Saudi sponsor to do it'. There are different versions — one lasts forever after one big fee, another renews every year. We figure out which one fits your family and help you get it.
